Match Report Long, long, long , lon, long awaited Match Report for game against Didcot. At Wallingford Flipin freezing cold night. Won (6-4) goalscorers – donna , warner (3) and L Higgins (2) Team 1. Colvin 2. Donna 3. Carroll r 4. Carroll S 5. Smith 6. Carroll J 7. Higgins R 8. Higgins L 9. Saunders 10. Warner 11. Mylonas SUB 12.Sanchez All-stars began shakily in their rematch against bitter rivals Didcot. The home side went ahead early on and the game came to life. Lawrence Higgins equalised for the allstars after good work from Alex Mylonas down the right. Minutes later Warner strung a pass through to L Higgins again and he made in 2-1. Unfortunatley the game got a bit over heated as the first half went on and Sam and Jo carroll had to battle like Trojans to make sure the All-stars kept their lead. Russ Higgins had to play in an unfamiliar left wing position but he didn’t let the side down. From his cross , Warner fired a left foot half volley and the all-stars went in at half time 3-1 up. Second half and things stayed the same. Smith and Rob carroll were strong as Oxes at the back and Saunders pace made sure that pete colvin in goal was hardly ever exsposed to the opposition. From a Sam Carroll through ball Warner raced in to the Didcot half and his left foot shot from distance beat the Didcot keeper to make it 4-1. But didcot were not dead and buried, Captain Danilel Wilkes and Wesley both scored to pull the tie around. But from somewhere, Berkshire found an extra gear. First Donner made it 5 from a corner and then Mylonas crossed to Warner who got his third and Berkshires 6th. Sanchez came on for Mylonas near the end and Colvin had to be at his best to make a good block, but Berkshire sailed on to their 3rd consecutive win!
